Sooo whats the deal with the room rates..where you have to pick the letter? Does this affect what hall you get? If so..which should you pick to get the best housing?

What did you all pick?

What did you all pick?

I wouldn't put too much thought into it. I don't think it serves much of a purpose besides making sure people who want cheap housing get stuck in the economy triples.

LaLaLa, I thought Michigan was out of the running for you. Where you down to Duke and NU?

At any rate, if you are female and don't mind living in a women's form, check our Martha Cook. You cannot beat the location.

Nope, the financial aid is horrible at those two..so im almost definetely going to UofM .. =/

well I would mind all female dorms..but what is the deal with honors housing? Recommended?

Yes, South Quad is where most Honors students are housed and it is an excellent dorm also. On a separate note, I also picked Michigan over Duke and NU, and my decision had nothing to do with finances (they would all have cost roughly the same to me). Until this day, I am certain mine was the right decision. You will understand this later...Michigan is magical.

Hah, thanks. I hope so! For me, the main reason I wanted to go was to get out of Michigan..I've been here my whole life, and UofM will be filled with people I know, and people I know of..and people just like people I know..I just feel like it won't be enough of a change or enough independence..but hopefully I'll be wrong.

LaLaLa, Michigan is more diverse than you realize. I will let you be the judge of that of course. Get back to us after your first trimester and let us know if you agree.

Yeah, that is what I've heard from kids around here who have gone there..but I guess I'll have to see it to acutally believe it :)

And in your case in particular, since you will be in the Honors program, you will be around mostly OOS students. The honors college...and South Quad, are like 75% OOS.
