Housing Stupidness...

Is it just me, or is this ridiculous?

So I'm going into my senior year and have housing for Hughes.

A few friends of mine got a 6 person suite together in Smith and now have another 2 spots open (the two other friends left Binghamton). So, I say yes to them and try to get into the room.

I get denied? Why? Because I need to wait for freshmen assignments first.

What? These kids had the room full already. How is it far that they go from having friends in there room to a new, random freshmen? And also, like the freshmen cares about Hughes vs. Smith, both are Hinman (hell, Hughes is better).

So what gives. I tried calling and someone gave me same answer. I'm now emailing one of the head housing people and they still haven't responded (emailed over the weekend) to me or the person I'd room with (who also emailed/called).

This is ridiculous IMO.

Anyone agree? And what should I do? Also, did freshmen get housing assignments yet btw? Since I didn't get my transfer one last year until late August... so hoping I can still get in this room.

That is pretty ridiculous. You should have priority.
We didn't get our housing assignments yet. All we know is which residence hall, so for example, Newing for me. But we should be getting them within the next week.

I would definitely e-mail the head housing people until they listen to you. You're an upperclassmen, therefore your have priority. What gives.
