What housing do people suggest for a male who like being active and doesnt mind a loud dorm or anything but wants to what going on on campus? Thanks

anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry nobody has responded yet - I have a daughter who lived in Capstone and enjoyed it and her guy friends lived in Capstone or Columbia. That's all I know. Hopefully someone can answer for you soon!

We went to USC today for scholars day. My D visited Capstone and Preston College. You have to be a Capstone scholar or in the honors college to live in capstone. You can live in Columbia and not be in capstone scholars. It is a personal decision but my D was more impressed with Preston. However, you have to apply and be invited into Preston as well. However, it is not only for honors students. Both are suite-style arrangements. Both have larger than average rooms. Preston is in the middle of campus right behind the horseshoe and across the street from Russell House. Look online and you can find a good bit of information on both. Really don't know a lot about the other dorms.

Capstone is the best freshman housing option. I'd put Columbia Hall next, or Maxcy if you're honors.

Steeler,
Are you the athletic type? My son is a Capstone scholar, so he lives in Capstone, but I heard that a some of the athletes live in the Roost, since it is near some of the playing fields (baseball, maybe?). There are not as close to the center of campus, but they are apartment style, with 2 BR , and a living room. Last year they were available for freshmen, and I imagine they still are.

I believe Steeler is actually Mike Davis - he's a tailback for the football team.

Oops! I meant to address JRWriter, who posted the original question. I guess Steeler would definitely know about where the athletes live!
