My priority number is 3042. What are my chances of getting suite style housing? I'm applying to LLC's because I really don't want community.

If you are applying to LLCs simply for the housing, I wouldn’t bother. You will definitely be able to get suite style with that priority number.

Housing numbers are something interesting… I personally would think a low number would be a good thing, because in my mind a “low” priority number is a small number (a few hundred). I guess it just depends on how you look at things.

That said, 3042 isn’t a bad priority number. If you want a suite-style room, keep these things in mind:
There’s over 3700 (3735, to be exact) spots in suite-style buildings available.
Only a small number of these will be taken by returning residents (most will move to the apartment buildings; McCollum, Rogers, Ragans, and Traditions).
The spots in Landis (403) and Gilchrist (229) are Honors only. So in reality instead of 3700, think of it more as 3100 spots (3735 - 403 - 229 = ~ 3100).
There’s going to be a lot of people ahead of you that are in Honors and want to live in Landis and/or Gilchrist. So let’s say that it’s a wash (all 630 Honors spaces are taken up by the 3000 people in front of you).
Some people in front of you will either not attend FSU, forget to send in their deposit, or forget to send in their parental signature form, and lose their priority number.
LLCs take up space in the building they are housed in, but they only consist of a few students each. The average LLC is only like 25-30 students.

Long story short: there’s 3700+ spots in suite-style buildings. At a number of 3000, you might not get your first choice (especially if it’s a small east-side building like Broward). But there’s really almost no way for you to NOT get a suite-style room. Heck, even Housing says that the cut-off point is something like a priority number of around 3500 to 4000 before people start worrying and expect to get community buildings instead.

If there’s an LLC that you really want to be a part of, apply for it. You’ll probably enjoy it. However, if you don’t want to be part of any of the LLCs you apply for, don’t bother. You’ll be unhappy just to get a room that you may or may not even like.
