So I haven’t really been paying attention to the housing situation that usually goes on around this time of the year. I know for most people it’s a big deal to avoid getting CoRo, but I’m a freshman on Newton and don’t think it’s that bad, so at least being on Main Campus is a pretty big step up for me lol.

Anyways, a few questions:

1.) Is CoRo really that bad?
2.) What is the best “CoRo” dorm to shoot for?
3.) Where can we find out our dorm pick times?
4.) If we want to apply for a single, but don’t have a certified medical decision, is it still possible to do so?

Thanks in advance

Hello askjeeves, I am a sophomore at BC and would be happy to answer your question.

1)CoRo isn’t “that bad,” it’s the same traditional living style you currently have on newton; people just seem to hate it because they aren’t living with the majority of their class and upperclassman on lower campus and/or are not in the suite style of housing.

2) They’re basically all the same.

3) Pick times differ depending on what type of housing you apply for. For example, applications and pick times for 8-mans this year are on March 18

4) Yes you can apply for a single but be aware that priority often goes to upperclassmen.

Hope that helps!
