So Im looking at housing at the two universities im considering attending this fall when I transfer. Its between San Jose State and Cal State Chico(havent heard back yet, but positive). Ive heard good things about the CVB at san jose and about Sutter hall at CSUC so if anyone could tell me which housing would be the best/better to get at each Uni. I would appreciate it. I dont mind being in a double or anything like that. I would prefer more of a social setting where i could interact with people
My son was a in Lassen last year (Chico) - he made lots of friends and loved it. One thing he noted about Shasta/Lassen vs Sutter was the doors at the older dorms can be easily left open - so, when you walk down the hall, you encounter many open doors, making it easy to pop your head in. Sutter - though ‘nicer’ has auto closing doors making it less social.
Good luck.
Yea I would like more of a social interaction but I thought shasta/lassen for freshman only? I could be wrong, as long as I get to live on campus lol. Really dont feel like taking a car since I heard its not really necessary being a small town and stuff.
sorry i missed the transfer reference. you are right about freshmen only. I think Sutter is the only on-campus option for transfers. I’d expect it to fill up quickly .
UV is campus owned and apartment style but, off campus by a mile or so. It is served by a shuttle and a quick walk to the market so, you wouldn’t need a car. Lots of bikes too.
Good lick
