Freshmen tend to get assigned to standard doubles. The "standard" part means you share a bathroom with your floor (in Morewood E Tower, a popular freshman dorm, which is where I live now, a floor works out to about 24 people). It's coed by floor, and the rooms are fairly large. Here's a rundown on some other freshman dorms:

New House: coed by wing, small rooms (but with A/C), doubles, bathroom shared by about 15

Hamerschlag: male only, moderately sized (and oddly shaped) rooms, doubles, bathroom shared by about 24

Donner: coed by wing, big rooms, doubles, bathroom shared by I have no idea

If you're looking for a bathroom shared by something on the order of 4 people, you'll want a prime double. It's uncommon for freshmen to get those, though. Also, most buildings containing prime rooms are not gender-zoned in any particular way. Point is, you should resign yourself to sharing a bathroom with an entire floor. Your other criteria can be satisfied by Morewood E Tower or Donner, though.

is new house a freshmen only dorm?

Yes. That, 3 of the 4 floors of Donner, Hamerschlag, and Morewood E are the freshman-only dorms. There are areas of some other buildings (e.g. Mudge) that are freshman-only, but it's not the entire building.

Ok I dont mind about the bathroom part or coed or w/e

But what if I want a dorm where I can study in the room or at least in the residence hall, generally quite, not a big party dorm, size, A/C. In order of importance

Right now I like New House but j/w the veiwpoint of a current student

Ehy is morewood E so popular?

Can you, or do you even know anyone who has brought a air purifyer into their room. I have really really bad allergys an was wandering especially since a dorm room is small if this is viable

Also just wandering when Think said " Also, most buildings containing prime rooms are not gender-zoned in any particular way. Point is, you should resign yourself to sharing a bathroom with an entire floor."

Do you meen that you could end up sharing a bathroom with the opposite sex. Not that this is a bad(OR good) thing or what not j/w

Wait, what are all the dorms, and please a short description of each??
(thank you.)

Donner is really, really, really ugly.
