Housing?

My friend and I both applied to NEU, but my friend applied to bouvé college and I applied to college fo science. I was wondering if we could still be roommates even if we applied to different colleges?

If you will both be freshmen then yes. But the quickest way to end a good friendship is to live together!

The only way that you can’t be roommates freshman year is if only one of you makes it into the honors program.

After freshman year, no restrictions.

Actually one of the perks of northeastern - Ivy-league schools with colleges often limit housing to within your college, which is a small group of people and I’m told that can be annoying.

You can room together, but I’m with TomSr on this one - I’d recommend branching out. Living with a good high school friend can lead to a surprising amount of conflict. But also, if you’re living with someone new, I think you’ll be more likely to explore new things and meet new people in general, rather than sticking to your existing friend and group.

My D1 went to college with high school friend and had no problem together but it was more difficult for her to make new friends than her roommate. I rec you each get a different roommate then you can have 4 friends fairly easily
