How 420-friendly is Harvard?

I'll be there this fall, just wondering about what percentage of kids smoke cannabis (or do harder stuff), and where the best smoke spots are. Would vaporizing probably be the best option? I hear there's plenty of drinking going on at Harvard, but I haven't heard about much else on this topic. How hardcore is enforcement on campus and off?

Thanks for the advice!

great thread or greatest thread?

Harvard is not a pot school. Harvard is an adderall/alcohol type of place. There is some cocaine usage among the NYC final club crowd.

Every year there are freshmen who get expelled for pot use- they smoke in their yard rooms and passing HUPD officers smell it and pay them a visit. You can expect the Cambridge police to be hardcore too, this is not Berkeley.

Pot’s definitely not widespread but it exists for those who want to seek it out. Vaporizing is probably a good option since it decreases the chance you’ll get caught, and you don’t want to get caught.

(transfer to Brown) ;D

I heard Winthrop is where all da potheads smoke at

In my statistics class we calculated the percentage of the class that smoked pot in an anonymous way… I can’t remember the exact question, but it was less than 40%, and the professor was shocked… he said it was the lowest he had ever seen, and he had already told us that the previous semester had been the lowest… so while there is a significant percentage, it definitely seems like marijuana is falling out of favor.

What is Harvard’s policy if they catch you in possession or smoking? Kick you out of the dorms?

It might be expulsion

…or you could go to Hell?
