So I have 2 f's from a long time ago...since then I have re-taken the class. I now have a 4.0 so far with 35 units. How much will the 2 f's affect my chances? I still would like to apply to UCB and UCLA. It seems like UCLA is more forgiving with this type of thing.

My major is women and gender studies. And before you start to bash on my major...I plan to go to law school after... :)

a) the F’s are said not affect your chances at all… but it’s foolish to think that adcoms aren’t at least slightly influenced by the sight of them…

b) keeping a 4.0, going after women’s / gender studies, i’d imagine that you could **** all over your application and still steer clear of any UC rejections.

Well…I am glad it wont be too big of a deal…those old stinky F’s. I havent locked in all of the universities I want to apply to yet. I dont think any ivys would be on the list. I just hope I can keep my GPA this next semester. I want to go to the place that will give me the most money, so that I can spend more time on my studies and less time working.

88% acceptance rate for women’s studies, with a 3.35 gpa average. I think you should start prepping your bowels for your application as pinker said.
