I just took the practice Math level IIC and it was a joke - I didin't miss a single problem and finished in 45 minutes. Is the actual test a lot easier than the test in the official subject test guide? I can't really trust the official guide at this point, knowing that Barrons gives me about -8 every time...

Hmm if you want to try more look for the collegeboard book "Math IC and Math IIC tests". They have a specific one for math and history tests. They have 2 Math I and Math II tests so you can check to see if CB really is easy etc.

"How accurate is the official SAT subject test guide?"

I would say it's pretty accurate, given that it's a real test.

The official guide is TOO easy..i'd say kaplan or princeton is more accurate

Well, Barron's does make some wicked hard questions, since I used it for Chem SAT IIs. Generally, the official guide is pretty accurate, although I felt that the Chem SAT II I took was harder than the practice test in the CB book.

Maybe, though, you should just be confident and tell yourself that you have some great math skills ;)

personally, I think the barrons prac tests are very dissimilar to the real ones. They have wierd formating and stuff - at least for history (correct me if I'm wrong for other test)

So, the conclusion is that the practice one in the official SAT subject test guide is easier than the actual test, right?
I would like some people who took this test to answer, please...

yeah, I would say it was easier too. The real math test that I took had some questions that I never solved before. But if you are really good at math, then you should have no problem.
