How accurate is the unofficial transcript trick?

Just out of curiosity. I haven’t seen it show up yet and I don’t know much about the trick in general. Is it possible for it to not show up by the 15th but still be accepted?

This question has already been answered twice. Doesn’t work for all.

Yes. It doesn’t load on the same exact day for everyone.

I’ve already had one show up for Tacoma campus because I got admitted months ago, so I don’t know what it’s supposed to look like if there’s gonna be a 2nd transcript… Or if it’s even possible to have another one show up

Do both links (Tacoma and Seattle) take you to the same unofficial transcript? If your Seattle transcript loads, then it will not say “Bothell” or “Tacoma” anywhere.

My seattle transcript and bothell transcript both load the same transcript for bothell

I’ve heard that it’s * usually * accurate, except in cases where the applicant has already been accepted to another campus or has taken summer classes with the UW before, because the unofficial transcript will load regardless.

Best of luck!

@Loganmr97 Does your transcript have “Bothell” anywhere?

I don’t know if it’s still the same, but when my friend’s transcript loaded for UWB, it said “Bothell” under “College” or something like that. For a while, both links (Seattle and Bothell) took him to the same transcript. We found out he got accepted to Seattle as well when the link to Seattle campus’s unofficial transcript loaded without the word “Bothell” on it.

Yeah under the word college it has bothell.

@husky1212 when you say that there’s a link for seperate campuses, what do you mean? I’ve always been clicking one link that says “unofficial transcript” that has lead me to a page with my tacoma transcript, but now I’m starting to think I have been checking for it the wrong way.

@‌uwhusky1997

Sorry, I must have been mistaken. I thought there was a link per campus. I’ve only applied to Seattle, so that was an assumption.

I guess the only way to tell if the unofficial transcript for Seattle loaded is if your it loads without the word “Bothell” or “Tacoma”.

My expectation is that if you applied and got accepted to all three, you will have a separate student number and data entry for each campus.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but where do I check my unofficial transcripts?

I just cannot wind the UW portal anywhere. I tried applyweb (dotcom) but there’s nothing there.

If someone could give a website name or a link, it would be really helpful.

P.S. I am an International Student.

  1. login to myuw
  2. admissions on the left side
  3. unofficial transcript on the bottom right

Thanks a lot @YoonMiRae‌

I appreciate the gesture

Is it loading for anyone yet for the Seattle campus? I’m still not getting anything… So worried.

Lol it won’t load till the end of this week or next week

From what I remember, the admissions office’s hours of operation begin at 1pm, so I would expect that things wouldn’t get rolling until then, when we check the transcript each day.

How bad do you think it will be that I have like two punctuation errors in my personal statement. The commas legit looked like periods lol. It’s written like:

With the intent to be honest, I left my bed and walked out of my room with my heart pounding, This was the moment

And

I swallowed in an attempt to brittle down my hot tears and as I made my way back to my room. I was blah blah blah

Really freaking out because in the thing they were like don’t do this blah blah blah like oh my word they seem so strict about essays :’( everything else for essays were flawless and I think were lovely!
Please respond

Two punctuation errors in an essay??? Please, UoW will not reject or hold a low opinion of you. I am pretty sure they understand that you took the time to pour your heart and mind on your essays, and trying to find EVERY mistake is not something most people can do. If you know you wrote excellent essays, relax! There are more important factors in determining a prospective student than just two punctuation errors.

Again, relax and try not to worry about it too much. I wish you the best of luck!
