I don't have much time to prepare for my SAT 2's because they are this coming Jun. 2. Therefore, I'd like to know, will it be frowned upon if I take the Math Level 1? I know the questions will be easier for me, but the curve is bad. On the other hand, the Math Level 2 questions will be much harder for me, but the curve is excellent.

If you are taking/have taken precalc take Math 2. There's nothing that goes beyond that and a lot of the problems can be solved by using a graphing calculator. I studied for the May test the night before and think I did okay on it. Besides, if you get nervous about memorizing all the formulas store them in your calculator.

I say wing it with II.

Take Math II, Math I is worthless since March 2005

Why did Math I become worthless since March 2005?

Math II...if you've taken courses in the material covered on Math II, then I don't think you'll find that Math I is that much eaiser. So based on the scoring curve, I'd advise you to take Math II.

I took I and I got into a good school....I don't know a lot about how adcoms view it but it was pretty easy.

Alright thanks all

I haven't taken Pre-Calc and I'll be a senior next year. Should I stick with Math Level 1?

It depends on what pre-calc is at your school. At my school, it's simply a repeat of algebra 2 (also called advanced algebra) with slightly more depth; you can take the Math IIC after algebra 2.
