Just wanted to let everyone know that some people may be getting acceptances today in the mail. I live in Southern CA btw.

When was it postmarked, stats, etc.

Lol, congrats btw)

nice! thats exciting! i really dont think its in waves because people seem to be getting acceptances everyday!

Yeah it's definitely not as tight as the last ones...maybe this is the final "wave," with acceptances coming pretty frequently until the end of the month, with rejections following?

Who knows...congratulations on your acceptance!

congratulations! Good luck with the rest of your letter :)

yeah, when was it postmarked?

Wow, yesterday no mail came to our area, like I'm not sure what happened it was raining pretty heavily.

With my luck the mailman died and the delivery truck burned with my letter inside >_<.

Or your mailman is a secret wannabe Trojan and stole the admission packet...lol

Uhh, so are there clear waves of letters, or are they now just being sent out sporadically till the end of March?

There are two waves in March: one was sent on the 14th and the other will be sent on the 28th give or take one or two days as they are accounting for the time that the mail must travel from Los Angeles to different parts of the country.

My brother got his acceptance today. He's about 25 miles from LA.

When were these acceptances postmarked?

s' acceptance is dated 3/14 & packet is postmarked 3/17/08- it arrived in norcal on 3/19

i just got rejected by UCLA so i'm excited to hear from USC!

(i never wanted to go to UCLA since i'm out of state and i figured it would be weird... since its 97% in state)

Ouch me too.

well here's to USC! We'll fight on! see admissions people...this makes me an even better match for USC because i hate UCLA! not really but whatever.

Definitely, USC has been my #1 for so long now...where else are you waiting to hear back from?

Berkeley (not getting in, not going lol), Rice, GWU, Penn (not getting in, not going as well!) in addition to the obvious USC!

Yeah Berkeley's not looking to good for us OOS UCLA-rejects, but whatever...I'm waiting on UCB, Vanderbilt, Emory, Tufts, and a few others...but when I check my mailbox I'm always looking for a big red envelope haha

yeah Vanderbilt + Emory = EDI + EDII rejections!

looking back, vanderbilt was a mistake anyway so i'm happy it "worked out" in the end. last year, 2 people from my school applied to Vandy, this year over 30 applied! 12 Early decision people! its insane. emory on the other hand... I still think its a match but i guess not.

we're definately looking for the same schools since i almost applied to Tufts too. but, i'm done with the cold (i'm from NJ) so i crossed boston off my list much to my mother's dismay.
