How and what to mail the Professors?

Hello,
I've applied to a Research program at a good university and have specified 3 professor names and research groups as choices in the application forms. After that I sent out a mail introducing myself to those professors and informing them about choosing their research group. Only 1 of them corresponded with me and its been a month now. I really want to get in touch with the other 2 professors. This is primarily to show my motivation and interest in their research group. So how do I approach this problem? I just cannot resend the same introductory mail, so what else can I send? Thanks a lot.

Nothing. It's almost already bad enough that you sent out an e-mail AFTER you submitted the application introducing yourself.

Just sit tight and wait like everyone else.

Agreed. Before applying, you identify who you want to work with, and correspond with that person directly. THEN you submit an application.

I agree with everone here. You should have (a) contacted profs before you appied, or (b) you could have requested to speak to certain profs on you application IF you were asked to do so. (c) once you get an interview, you could possibly ask to be scheduled to be interviewed by a certain prof, although that's not a guarantee, or (d) once you get accepted, then you could somewhat aggressively pursue an opening for a grad student in a certain prof's lab.

Best of luck! I'm sure you didn't hurt your chances but I'd just sit and wait now.

Since we are on the topic, I want to ask something relevant.

I went to a company's website and sent them a message through their feedback system asking about internship positions because they have yet to post them. HR contacted me within an hour telling me to watch out for positions on a certain website.

They are across the street from my campus and are also holding a career fair in the coming weeks. Should I go there and say, " Hey, I sent you guys an email and am really interested "....

What do you think of this? was that cold calling?

Yes, go over there for the career fair. There's no need to mention that you emailed them, just demonstrate your knowledge of the company.
