how are EC hours counted?

<p>Hi Everyone,</p>

<p>Ok, so this is probably a common knowledge in CC but I have been totally ignorant for the past two years...</p>

<p>When you submit your college apps, how do you count your volunteer hours/EC participation? Are you supposed to have some type of proof to send with the app? If not, how do colleges know whether you're just making the stuff up or if it's legit?</p>

<p>They take your word for it! There’s a section for self reported hours/wk and weeks/yr in every activity you list.</p>
