<p>Do they really take the time to match everyone up with the college of their choice? Or do the people with the best looking apps get first pick?</p>
<p>On the UC application, if you’re applying to UCSD, you get to rank the colleges by preference. I think most people usually get into their first choice college.</p>
<p>I am not sure how they do it but if you asked me I would say for applicants UCSD really wants, they are more likely to get admitted into their first choice.
I got into my second choice, which was still great.
If you happend to hate one or two of the colleges so much then make sure they are way down at the bottom of your list.</p>
<p>They probably have some algorithm to maximize people’s top choices.</p>
