Way too early to tell, haha. Keep doing what you’re doing. Work on maximizing your GPA for the next few years. Explore careers and subjects you’re interested in through shadowing, talking to people, doing research, taking courses, etc. Get involved with some community service; it’s never too early to make an impact on your community. Keep a good rapport with your teachers.
Don’t start studying for the SAT now, haha, unless you plan to take it as a sophomore (which actually isn’t a bad idea); you’ll burn out. Consider taking some subject tests as well.
And focus on enjoying your high-school experience, not getting into Hopkins. 1. You might not be qualified (academically) by the time you apply. 2. Even if you do qualify, Hopkins is a very selective school, and you still might not get in. 3. It’s very possible that Hopkins won’t be the right kind of college environment for you; maybe one thing you can do is start thinking about what kind of school you want to go to (serious reflection, after you’ve put down all the big-name schools), and make a list.
