<p>I have to disagree about college being the last chance for people to find their other half. I don't even count high school as the beginning of finding the other half because people in high school were stupid and immature about love. I know that people have some sort of fantasy about finding a college sweetheart and then getting married, but I don't really see that happening here. I think if it was true then I should just become a hobo hermit living in the woods and give up on finding a spouse, because I'm almost a junior already.</p>

About five or six girls from my school got accepted to Berkeley; I have to admit that they were some of the worst looking girls in our school. So, I can imagine if that happens in every school, then the girls at Berkeley must be really unattractive...</p>
<p>Wonderful. This is almost reason enough to transfer out. Who wants to waste four years of his life solely earning a diploma and never meeting or socializing with decent-looking women? Frankly, people have standards; if the women are so hideous as an abundance of alumni and current students have described--not to mention the fact that the term "Berkeley goggles" is a UNIVERSAL term among Berkeley students--why suffer for four years when those years could be better spent in an academically comparable institution with a good percentage of actual ATTRACTIVE women? This leads to the conclusion, as gathered from countless opinions from students and alumni alike, that Berkeley houses half-hideous women with no social skills who spend their lives studying because they can do no better; and those women who are half-social end up drowning themselves in party-booze to make up for what they lack.</p>

<p>i don't think its that there's a lack of good looking women, but rather, a large supply of ugly chicks. I'd bet the percentages for hot to average girls is about there, but there's a good deal more of a bunch of ugly chicks.</p>
<p>for example, if we put it on a curve. We can take something like a standard deviation curve, and grade all the girls @ berkeley. it's not that there's a huge LACK of hot girls, but rather more percentages of girls in the bottom part of the curve, taking away from the number of average looking girls and what not. So you tend to see a BIT more ugly girls around, the same amount of hot girls at say,...some random ass college, and a few less SUPER HOT and average looking girls.</p>
<p>Also, being that 40% of the chicks here are asian screws up the ratios too, especially for alotta non-asian guys, since asian girls tend to be more conservatively dressed, don't where alot of make-up/do their hair and what not (it's a cultural difference, not anything bad) and....so many don't find that attractive.</p>
<p>If you got the yellow fever, you're set here. if not, you're just a giant flamming pussy who complains too much and can't get any girls, because the truth is this is still college, and you can still pull in the girls if you got the game.</p>
<p>Also, majors wise, science and math classes don't have as hot of girls as the humanities and social sciences.</p>

<p>Only the uglies claim that Berkeley isn't an "ugly" campus when it comes to girls. Please, maybe you girls should get the hell out of your Berkeley bubble and visit another campus. And in all honesty I dont think the asian thing has much to do with it because I find asian girls just as attractive as white girls, the fact is that the looks of Berkeley girls, when compared to other campuses, is below average. I mean, it's not Army below average, but this aint Arizona State either...</p>

<p>These treads act as a way for ugly/nerdy/socially awkward people to defend their virginity. After all, its not THEIR fault they aren't having sex, its just that there aren't any girls who are worthy to deflower them. These guys are such studs that they wont lower themselves to the level of the uglies. These are the same people that, after graduation, will say "Oh, Seattle has the ugliest girls," or "man, these silicon valley chicks are just too gross for me." And when their parents ask them about girls they'll lie and say they have some great girlfriend that lives in Canada or something. Either way, it works out well for me that these people come to Cal becuase that's just one less person that I have to compete with for girl's attention. Keep on coming, fellas!</p>
