Anyone try these books? I am planning to buy them and just want to know if they are worth it.

11 Practice Tests for the New SAT and PSAT, 2006 Edition
Maximum Sat

Also, I am trying too boost my M/V up to hopefully 1400. I currently have a 1210(550 V/660M). The general consensus I got from reading the posts was that Gramatrix was the best of Verbal, and Barron's was best for Math. Any disputes on that?

The first book you should buy is the Blue book - the official book of practice tests put out by the College Board. After that, I've heard good things about Maximum SAT and RocketReview. I would not recommend the 11 Practice Tests book. It's best to stay away from practice tests not written by College Board. Even if you run out of tests in the Blue book, you can still practice with "old SATs" released by CB including the book 10RS and the tests released online.

If you want more practice tests and you've finished going through the Blue book, stick with tests put out by people who write the real SAT. Using outside practice tests is risky because the tests are generally not very accurate compared to tests written by ETS. Even if you've finished the blue book, you still have multiple editions of 10RS as well as multiple tests from the "Taking the SAT" booklets

I haven't purchased it myself, but I've heard really good things about Barron's New SAT Prep? I think that's the name of it. I've heard it comes with practice CD and flashcards for the verbal section which can really help.
