I'm a community college student in Pennsylvania looking at colleges to transfer to for next Fall. I went to a state school my first year, but my transcripts have not been sent to my new school yet, so I'm unable to meet with my adviser until they're received. Hopefully they'll be at the college by next week.

Depending on how many credits will transfer to the community college combined with the credits I'm taking now and next semester, I could potentially graduate already this May with my associate's.

For state schools I'm looking at:
Millersville University- $16,100 per year (room and board included)
Kutztown University- $16,300 per year (room and board included)

For private schools I'm looking at:
Moravian College- $23,000 per year w/ scholarship $33,000 per year w/o scholarship

The private school listed offers a transfer scholarship, which I've heard scholarships for transfers are hard to come by. Moravian offers $10,000 for the year towards tuition. It's also twenty minutes from my house, so I wouldn't have to live there. If I don't get selected to receive the scholarship, I won't be able to afford this college.

The state schools listed are a lot cheaper than the private school, even with the scholarship, and would also fit my budget better. Millersville is two hours from where I live and Kutztown is about an hour. I would need to live on campus at either school, which I have mixed feelings about. I didn't like living on campus my first year of college, but I'm limiting my options if I don't look at colleges other than the private school.

I was in the marching band in high school, which all three of these schools have, so I do plan on joining wherever I end up to socialize and meet people.

Could you give me your thoughts on these schools? I know two of them are only state schools and all of them aren't very well known.
