So here it is December 22 and I am just now realizing that ACT and SAT scores aren’t sent instantly. I know that I’m stupid and irresponsible but for some reason I never knew until now. Anyways, I have luckily already sent my scores to Duke and Vanderbilt (my top two). UNC’s deadline in 1/15 so I have plenty of time to send them scores. However, I have not yet sent scores to UVa, Northwestern, and Georgia Tech. I intend to rush ship the ACT to UVa and Northwestern today while I will do the same with the SAT to GT (they require writing and I have not taken ACT writing). Now both ACT and SAT rush shipping say they send scores in two business days which means they should be out by the weekend correct? That gives those three schools a week to get the scores. I know that’s cutting it really close but it should get it done right? I’m not looking for sugar coated answers. I want to honestly know if these schools will receive my score by 1/1 (the deadline). Feel free to insult me as well since I probably deserve it.
Thanks for any help.
Anyone? I also rushed my SAT II’s to Duke who has 1/3 deadline so that should be good.
Usually they will “wait” for your scores if your app is complete. Don’t worry too much. I’m sure some schools my slam the deadline window, but most don’t when it is just scores.
^^ Not at all. Most schools (the only one that doesn’t do this that I know of is UMich) will allow scores to come after the deadline. As long as you have sent them before the deadline, you are fine. And don’t waste money on rushing the scores, its a scam.
It’s good to know that you they will wait for your scores to come in even if it’s after the deadline.
UMD doesn’t wait, either, but most do, so you should be fine.
@yonceonhismouth Alright. I have already sent rush scores so the jobs done but oh well. And it makes sense that Michigan doesn’t allow it since their deadline is so much later than everyone else’s.
