How bad do B's look on Mid-Year Reports (for selective schools)?

My classes senior year have been a lot harder than I expected, although I should have seen it coming. I currently have 3 high B's for the first quarter (AP Calc AB, AP Lit, and AP Physics). I am really determined to increase my 2nd quarter grades to bring them up at least to all 90s, although I know it will be very difficult.

For schools like Stern, Umich, Duke, CMU, Columbia etc (the tier right below HYPS), how badly do a few B's reflect on your chances?

For some context, here are some of my quantitative stats (click my profile for the rest) :

GPA (Weighted): 102.8
SAT I: CR:720 M:670 W:760 (2150 Superscored)
SAT II: Bio 790, US History 720, Math II 770

bump

They’re going to have some impact, but at the same time, colleges know that you’re taking a rigorous course load. There’s really nothing you can do it about it, but grades aren’t everything so “make up for it” by working really hard on those essays – which are underratedly significant.

As long as your list of colleges is well-balanced, with more targets and likelies than reaches, then you should be fine despite your several Bs. Just keep plugging along and do your best.

thanks for the input!
