I was just wondering because I might get 3 B's possibly 4... i if i get 3 my rank would go up slightly from a 4.375 and if i get 4 it would go slightly down (i am top 2.5% rite now... proly would stay within top 3% even with 4 Bs)

...reason is I took an insane schedule and I didn't even realize what I was getting into... REALLY regret it now

howwould it affect RD chances when they get the mid-year report to schools like: Duke, Brown, Rice, and Princeton?

Seeing as how this year's pool seems more competitive, I would say it would hurt you significantly at the ivies + duke, though you might want to emphasize to the colleges how hard your courseload is.

Your school will send the school profile along with your transcript. The profile will usually inform the college about the grading system in your school, how much weight is given to Aps honors, etc, what ciriculum offered.

Your taking the hardest classes ever will not be considered an acceptable excuse for your performance because as TAWS stated the applicant pool will be very competitive with students taking their "hardest semester" ever and still doing well. At the schools you are considering, a downward trend would not be good

Personally, I really hope first semester is taken into account for RD... there are so many seniors slacking off, I'd like my hard work to be recognized by schools....

i made ED, but the letter said that they would still be getting my 1st semester grades through MID-Year report.
I might have one B this semester and my GPA so far is 3.93.
...hope they do not care about it.
