I got a 1490 on my first one. got my second one back today expecting a 1520+ but got a 1500. I’m just wondering if this will hinder my chances for schools such as Columbia, Cornell, Rice, etc.
It is around the admission average. It is a good score but not really standing out. Nevertheless, it would not be the primary reason for rejection.
If you’ve studied a lot already between your first and second SAT, then I would call it a day. That’s probably around the max you can get without devoting your whole life to SAT stuff.
If you’ve studied a moderate to little amount between your first and second SAT, then I would retake in the fall. Khan Academy is the BEST.
Also, it depends on your summer. If studying for the SAT would prevent you from doing something cool (going abroad, taking an internship, etc.), then it’s not worth it.
