I am applying EA to 3 schools at this point (I love them all equally, and they all have aspects that uniquely attract me to them). BUT...I haven't started a single app/supplement/essay.

My counselor is already writing my rec, gave her my resume last week.

Four of my teachers have agreed to write recs (yet another problem, how do I decide which ones to use?), but I haven't given any of them anything yet. They don't even know where I'm applying right now.

And I've only written one essay for NMSF which probably won't work as a college essay.

The only thing I've accomplished in the past few months is taking the SAT again today...not sure if I improved or not.

uhhhh HELP?? Where/how do I begin? What's most important for me to focus on right now, as in what will take the most time/energy so I should start on it first...getting my resume to my teachers (one teacher requires like a 5 paragraph essay on why you want to apply to X college, and just like explaining who you are...pretty much a "Why us?" essay but it's just so he can write your rec more personalized-ly), starting on my essays (serious case of writer's block right now, ugh but I'm going to end up having to write like 4 essays at least for the different schools I'm applying to), making my activities sheet (condensing my stupid over-fluffed resume), or filling out general info on the common app??

ALL/ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED, THANKS=)

hannah, i think you're fine. just do all the busy work and keep an eye out for inspiration. once you're done you can just start writing about anything. you don't have to submit it but maybe it will help you get over your writer's block... :)

Okay, being the considerate soul that I am, I'll try and help you out. Move your mouse to the top-right corner of the browser, there is a button that say 'Log Out'. CLICK THIS BUTTON. Immediately after, open a word document and start writing essays/making your resume. Good Luck sir!

@quantize and shrinkrap...lol k, i actually have to admit: that's probably the best advice i've received so far. haha now i just have to metaphorically get off my lazy butt and start following it rather than moping around here praying for a miracle.

That was going to be my answer too. Many people have taken a lot of time and effort to help you and to reassure you that you have done a fine job in school, now it is up to you to get down to business. You've stared 9 threads today, most of which would have to come under the heading of "frivolous" at worse and off-track at best. Get outa here! ;)

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one small step." Just do one thing, ANYTHING, to get started. Write a first sentence for your common app essay even if it is terrible. Get your recs together. Do one thing. Take one college app action for every hour you spend online.
