How bad will writing score hurt me?

Sorry I've posted this a few months earlier... but I'm still worried, because one of my friends brought it up today.

Any-hoo, my scores:

CR: 800
M: 780

..and then W: 650 (69, 7 essay) :( Boo.

I wrote an awesome essay, and then forgot to include *****ing examples because of rushing. Great. The 25 minute time is BS; I can't develop a good essay with that.

So if I plan to apply for top Liberal Arts schools in a pre-medical degree... How badly will the writing score hurt me?

Keep in mind I'm actually a really good writer (Or at least all my English teachers have praised my writing skills), so my application essay will probably be excellent/amazing (since I plan to take a LONG time writing it.)

Should I retake?

Colleges:
Amherst (Hah.. for giggles), Davidson, Grinnell, Duke, Columbia, Wake Forrest...

Ha. I totally agree with a lot of what you said. My November SAT:
Reading: 760
Math: 800
Writing: 690

and I got a 5 on the AP Lang&Comp test, so it would seem like my writing score should be a little bit higher. I agree that the 25 min. limit is a joke, After being in APLC, it really isn't enough time.

Whatever. I don't think it should hurt you all that much, especially if you have a good essay in your app.... then they can actually see an example of how well you can write.

Agreed. I barely even felt like I started when the proctor was like "5 minutes left!"

And then I panicked.
