Freaking out about writing score

<p>Hey guys, so I got my scores back yesterday and I found out I got a 36 composite. Obviously, I was incredibly psyched about that. But then today rolled around, and I checked to see my writing....I got a 9. Do you guys think that'll strongly affect my chances of going to the school I want to go to? I really want to go to Princeton, Yale, or the U of C, but I'm not sure how my essay score will be affect my chances.</p>

<p>A 9 should be perfectly fine. Now, if you told me that you got a 7, I would have a completely different answer. <em>Typically speaking,</em> an 8+ is fine.</p>

<p>A 9 isn’t bad at all! Check your percentiles; I know that a 10 is 99th, so a 9 should be perfectly fine! Good job on the 36, for sure.</p>
