How bad would it look if I got a C first semester senior yr?

Please help/offer any input you may have. I am currently taking AP Calculus BC and my grade is slowly dropping... I have a 78 in the class right now which is a C, I have no idea how it got this way. I got an A in math all my years before but Calculus just isn't clicking. (I took Calculus AB LAST year which was easy at my school so I felt like I didn't get much out of it so I decided to take BC to strengthen my calc skills. I got a 4 on the AB Test.) Pre calc honors at my school is much harder than calc AB (weird), but the point is that I seriously felt that I did well, if not well then at least satisfactory on my past test from studying and doing so many extra problems in the book. My weekend is now ruined because of my F... I'm just worried that I will get a C on my transcript (and either all A's in my other classes or 1 other B) in CALC BC. How badly would this hurt my chances of getting accepted ?

(I'm talking about privates like USC and UC colleges - UCSD, UCLA, etc).

My Unweighted gpa so far is 3.950 (I've gotten 2 B's in my high school career, one of them in an elective class that doesn't really matter as much as a topic like math or science, and another B in english honors).

The colleges aren’t too concerned with your senior year grades but try to get it up to at least a B. They are lenient with second semester grades but too much of a fall in your GPA will hurt you! If you are really struggling, you can contact the schools after you apply to explain your situation and some will offer summer courses to make up for those bad grades (but bad meaning D’s)

First semester is important for non-early schools.
Calculus BC’s first semester is about the same as Calculus AB, so this is strange. Anyway, if you can get it to a B, that isn’t as bad.

Yeah…in my school BC was the same as AB until the end of march. The AB just stopped learning new material then and started reviewing. Try talking to your teacher about it, since this seems odd…you should know all the stuff - especially seeing as you got a 4 in AB. A lot of the AB problems are on the the BC test - including the frqs
