i'll do my best to explain it w/o actually discussing the questions and getting suspended...

For one of the AP US history free responses (#4), I incorrectly put one sentence in about the good neighbor policy (hopefully you guys who took the test know where I am getting at). I know each FRQ is scored out of 9, so how many points do you think Ill get marked off just for that?

thanks, and I hope I followed the rules....

A "minor error which does not detract from overall argument" is typical of an essay in the 5-7 range and may rarely occur in an essay in the 8-9 range, according to the rubric.

ya but is my mistake really a minor error? I put in an event that was about 30 years out of the time period....

i thought that they didn't take off points for "wrong" information, but only added information for each thing that WAS in the right time period.

(for example, on the apush test last year, one of my friends wrote the civil rights question about the 50s, but included a ton of things that happened in the 60s. she got a 5)

Yeah, it is a minor error. As long as it wasn't an important part of your main theis you should get a decent score.

what about if i got two rebellions mixed up? i did essay #2 the one about the rebellions and i said one of the rebellions was cuase by indian attacks when it was really cause by taxes. how does that affect my frq score on that essay?

That would probably be kinda painful. The way I see it, you needed to

A. Explain the Rebellion/what caused it

B. Explain the significance/what it caused in the future

Chances are, if you put an incorrect cause, you put an incorrect result. So, you probably wouldn't get any of the points for explaining that rebellion.
