i don't use a backpack... i just use a binder.

^ yea ! People who uses backpacks are lame.

I mean, they're great for getting stuff from and to school, but in school, NOPE.

ONLY THE COOL people carry their books. COOL PEOPLE UNITE !

my bag got progressivly smaller as the year went by... but mostly it was just a standard jansport size. Had to carry around maths textbooks and an english text and my binder but that was about it generally

I use a generic Jansport bag and it's plenty big enough... I carry large textbooks and small ones and notebooks go inside.

I never use a backpack. I use messenger bags and I only carry what I need for the next class. I use my locker to hold the other stuff.

Not very (I also use a messenger bag). Calculator, planner, novels we're reading, pocket folder for papers, and composition notebook every day. AP Stats textbook 3 times a week, and occasionally my AP Bio text. APUSH text stays at home always, physics text stays in locker always (I don't bring it to class). I usually bring one more textbook that I'm reading outside of my classes. 10 lbs.

LOL. i used to use a messenger bag. it wass HUGEEE.

but now i use one of those large swiss army backpacks.

ugh. so large.

woah woah woah

U guys are allowed to carry backpacks to class?

we have to put our backpacks in our locker, and go to our locker in between periods to switch books/NB's

***!

yea. same here.
but talking about walking to school.

I don't even need to carry any textbooks.

My backpack has 1 binder that I use for all my classes (cuz I'm lazy, even if it's against the rules), and like a pen and a pencil.

That's it.

Extremely light.

I laugh at all of you who find the need to carry like 4 textbooks and a bunch of other useless stuff.

I think I'm either going to a.) end up with arthritis b.)end up with an early form of osteoporosis or b.) end up looking like a hunchback.

my backpack is so huge that when i make a sharp turn in the hallway, i knock someone out with it.

http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/1468/imageuploadimageol4.jpg sometimes i use this too.

on a good day, 15lbs.
when i have most my classes, almost 30.

My friends have really, insanely heavy backpacks. I don't know HOW they do it. I use a shoulder bag and alternate the side I carry it on XD. During school, I have a couple of folders/notebooks/loose papers in it (and carry a textbook), but during AD or mock trial, suddenly there's like a gajillion loose papers and they add up in weight! lol But it's def still nothing compared to my friends' backpacks...

four arm, don't be sarcastic like this. i just have my owns books at home given that my aunt works at a bookstore which has stacks of textbooks for insanely cheap prices.

Spruce-- that is amazing.

I used to have a backpack that weighed about 30 pounds. And then I would still have to carry books in my hands. I would get bruises on my hips by carrying all the additional heavy books.

Now my backpack is super light. I love it. Thank you teachers who have class sets of books!

Mine is HUGE.It's so big, that it makes me tip over sometimes...no joke. I carry around 2 large textbooks, with ~7 notebooks, lots of folders and some smaller books. I don't bother to use my locker because it's inconvenient,I'm too lazy and it's too far away from my classes--like for example, my last class is on the bottom floor and my locker's on the top floor on the opposite side of the school. Sucks huh? Anyone else with a humongous backpack?

LOL - this and most of these other posts are RIDICULOUS. lol. srsly? You guys srsly carry all this stuff?!? I, um, have a fairly large purse that I carry on some days that has some pens and pencils and my calculator and sometimes a little spiral notebook, and then the only book that I absolutely NEED to ever carry home is my Calc book, which I just hold in my arms. And I go to my locker after first period, after second period, after third period, after fifth period, and after seventh, lolololol, sooooo don't really see why I would need to have an enormous backpack? I mean, geez, nobody's school is probably that much larger than mine (I mean, distance from the furthest point of campus to the other), and if you have, like, 4+ minutes to get from class to class you should always be able to go to your locker... and we've got 6 minutes. lol.

Lawl 20 pounds or so, which isn't as bad if you distribute the weight correctly (you know not let the backpack sag down).

But our lockers are relatively big enough (even after they shortened our lockers) and I don't have homework in every subject usually, so I don't need to bring everything home anymore.

Haha like really really tiny. I usually bring home 3-4 folders, pencil bag..and a notebook or two. It's sooo light.

On days before the final, when I have to carry all my binders from my locker home to study..it's HUGE. well, not really probably compared to some of yalls but it's big for me

We have a classroom set for like all our textbooks so we can leave ours at home and everyone gets a locker or puts stuff in their car. I use both haha so not much to carry around..

How do you guys carry SO MUCH? Man, I complain like crazy everytime I have to carry 2 binders home..
The heaviest/biggest thing I carry around is my purse :) haha it weighs like 15 pounds
