How can a transfer student impress on a college application?

<p>I plan on transferring to Emory University in the future, so I wanna know what I should do to have a strong college application (as a transfer student). I'm asking now so that I can devise a strategy/work ethic. </p>

<p>Does the school one is transferring from affect admission? or is it simply extracurricular/involvement at the school? </p>
