<p>Our roommate's is posted online, and my school only uses the schools own email addresses. So I went on Facebook and searched the persons name, nothing (the person happens to have a really unique first and last name so that seemed odd). I emailed the person via the schools email, nothing. Its been three weeks. I found out the school won't let out confidential information like (numbers, personal email addresses) to anyone not even a roommate. Which makes it impossible to get in contact with someone. I want to do this so I can see if we can split things, so we both don't have the same two things like a tv or fridge. I leave for school in about 6 days, and right now I packing things to ship off. I did manage to find my suitemates on Facebook, and they have contact with their roommates.</p>
<p>If the person doesn’t have a facebook and isn’t checking the school email, there isn’t really much more you can do.</p>

<p>Just wait until you get to school to buy the big/expensive things. I’m sure there’s a target/walmart/etc nearby that would be easy to get to.</p>

<p>Did you try searching for her on Facebook with the college email? My roommate apparently goes by a nickname so I couldn’t find her using her listed name but she used the college’s email as her address on fb.</p>
<p>This might sound weird, but try searching for him on google. My friend couldn’t find her roommates on facebook, but somehow managed to find both of them on facebook.</p>

<p>Agree with recommendations above. Do you know where your roommate is from? Try zabasearch.com as well</p>
<p>Also consider the fact that many college aged students have summer jobs/internships/travel that takes them away from access to email/fb. So even if you’ve emailed them and haven’t heard back they may not be able to access their email.</p>
<p>Roommate hasn’t responded to facebook or email…it’s only been a few days and he’s probably on vacation. Aggravating, but there are worse things in the world.</p>
