So I e-mailed my roommate after my school gave us their information about them. He has yet to respond to me or make any attempt to contact me. I can't find him on Facebook, and I really don't know any other way to find him. The only issue I see with this is knowing what to bring so we don't have doubles ( 2 fridges, 2 t.vs, 2 microwaves). What should I do and is their any other way to contact him. I'm going to be a freshman at Syracuse Uni.

Give it a while – people who are away on vacation don’t always have internet access. Why not wait on the fridge/tv/microwave front until you get there?

Yes, wait more. If your roommate still doesn’t respond, email the department who’s in charge of housing.

Hopefully it is something good. My kid and his roommate have already had a face-to-face meeting they set up th get to know each other. The fridge and microwave thing is huge. If you wait, you may not get a great deal.

you could buy your things now and save receipts and just return them if your roommate also has one.

The only issue I guess is I already have a mini-fridge from my cousin I got for free, so I don’t want him to buy one. But, I’m just gonna wait it out and try again later.

if he does get one then you guys can stack them

He could return the minifridge if he does get one, or you could keep both, if there’s room for it, and each have your own.

FYI: some schools only allow one minifridge per room.

Thank you so much, I really hope he gets back to me.

Bring your mini-fridge and don’t worry. If he was worried, he would have contacted you. Also, some people don’t really look at email.
