Hi people, let me present myself, I'm Emanuel, I'm a junior student, with a desire to get into Stanford. I just came here from Peru, I only have 8 months living here on the United States. I was suppose to attend university on my country, because I graduate there, but I chose the decision to came here and I want to go to Stanford in 2016. Well basically, I'm a little bit scared, because my English is not the best, my grade on English on school is a little bit bad, but on numbers I'm very good. I'm currently taking AP Chemistry and AP Government, and I will be taking AB/BC Calculus, AP Computer Science and AP Physics, so if somebody can help me with this please I will be very glad to receive help.

@leftmas456. Understanding that Stanford is the top dream school and the most difficult school to get into…
That is the million dollar question for so many aspiring students from around the world…and to be frank…there is no magic bullet or a secret formula that will work for any and all individuals…

…what may work for the Olympic level athlete may not work for a mediocre/average high school varsity athlete…

…what may work for the world class musician may not work for a mediocre/average high school musician…

…what may work for the top prize winning artist may not work for a mediocre/average high school artist…

…what may work for Intel/Siemens finalist or winner may not work for mediocre/average high school science geek…

…what may work for a multi-million dollar entrepreneur/founder may not work for mediocre/average high school CS app developers…

…what may work for a top national literary prize winning writer may not work for mediocre/average high school newspaper editor…

…and there will be many students who stand somewhere in between the apex to the mediocre/average level of extracurricular achievements/talents…

…and we have not even discussed GPA, test scores, socioeconomic status, race, international vs domestic, applying from under-represented state vs over-represented state, under-represented country vs over-represented country…

…there are far more important INTANGIBLES that go into the final decision-making than the common data set will ever tell you…

…in sum, do the best you can in high school…and, if you feel that you have the grades, test scores, and the strength of extracurricular activity(ies) that Stanford may be looking for…apply and see what happens! Only you control your own destiny…
