Hi! I am going to be a junior this year and I was just wondering if my EC's were good enough for college and if not what I can do to improve them.

My EC's include:

leadership:
President of Key Club
founder and director of a small ensemble that play at nursing homes, hospitals and schools

clubs at school:i'vve done them for 2 years-- 9&10th grades
spanish club
Model Un
Youth and gov
Math league
Interact (service club)
Key Club
Student Council
peer tutor

Marching Band

your fine. try interning next summer and maybe work on your congressman's campaign. other than that and possibly curing cancer, ending poverty, etc. your ECs are fine for 95% of schools in the country. if your looking at a top tier, ivyesque school, win some competitons

Keep up with your in-school clubs and try to earn some top positions (president, vice president, so on). You might realize your Junior and Senior year you won't have enough time to spread yourself so thin, so stick with the ones that mean the most to you and really dedicate yourself. Keep up with the community service, as well. Venkater offered some good suggestions with interning and competitions. If you're really in to a certain subject, like science, try scooping out some local and state competitions. There's always something out there.

Also, if you really like Key Club and community service, why don't you try to get more involved at the district level?
