(I don't know if this is in the right section or not - sorry if it isn't).
I've been told a lot that I shouldn't worry about college as I'm only a freshman, but I can't stop but worry a little bit.

I'm wondering what I should do these next 3 years to get into a competitive school. Here is what I do already and I'm wondering what else I should do.

GPA: Trimester 1 - 4.47 Trimester 2 - 4.60 (Weighted on 5.0 scale).
SAT: 1300 (As a 7th grader and I hadn't studied at all).

ECs:
Debate Novice - JV (Next year I'll be in varsity and I'll most likely be captain senior year).
Tennis Club (I've never played before).

ECs in the Future:
Political Club next year.
Swim Team (most likely varsity).

ECs from the past:
I did dance at the beginning of the year, but had to quit for debate. I'm debating if I should start up dance again or not. Seeing I would be doing tennis and swimming next year would that be too much?

Random:
I'm going to be going to VBI Debate Camp this summer if that means anything. I'll be going to NSD Debate Camp the summers after that.
I'm going to apply for my state's House of Representatives page program. (Someone who previously did the program said I'm a shoe-in and my mother's friend is who I'd be paging for).
If I like paging I want to apply for the national Senate or House of Representatives page program.

Community Service Plans:
I plan on tutoring kids or something for community service. I really like math and would love to help younger kids with that. I need to find out more information though.
I'm probably going to get involved with Girl Up (United Nations Foundation).
Maybe human rights groups or something. I don't know I'm really lacking in what I should do for community service. I like political stuff such as helping girls in 3rd world countries, fighting for gay rights, etc.

So I guess I'm wondering if I do all these ECs if it's going to help. I'm the most confused on what I should do for community service and such. I feel like in order to get into some of my dream schools I need to do something incredible and have an outstanding EC. My passion is definitely debate and politics. So anything relating to those would be nice...

I hope this makes sense. I'm tired right now and feel as if what I just said is gibberish.
