Hey everybody. Brown is my first choice, and I would like to know if anyone could give me advice on how to make my application pop out? I can’t apply ED because I need to get my grades up. I was wondering if there was another way to communicate to the admissions officers that Brown is my first choice school?

Thanks in advance!

If your grades aren’t up now, do you really think you can be competitive enough for Brown? That might be your toughest challenge. Some answers you were looking for: interview (it’s evaluative), demonstrated interest.

pm me. lots of strategies.

Check out “decisions for 2013” above, and you’ll see there are plenty of students who have less-than-steller grades who got in. Clearly, Brown is not just determining who gets in based only on grades. With that in mind, I’d think an important aspect is to “show a passion” for something. Recommendations are a important, as is the rigor in your transcript. Good luck!

Thank you guys, I really appreciate that you are taking the time out to help me out.

I will work extremely diligently on showing my true passions in my essays.

Thanks again :]
