Hi, sorry if this question seems obvious or is commonly answered. I am planning to move out of state to Ohio next year to live with my boyfriend and his family. I am planning to attend community college in Ohio and transfering to a 4 year after I meet the transfer credits requirement for the community college I'll be attending in Ohio ( not exactly sure which one yet ). What are the requirements for me to attend a community college in Ohio at the instate tuition Ohio residents pay? I read somewhere online that you have to live in a state you moved to for a year to be considered a resident and able to pay instate tuition costs for community college as a resident. Is this true? I've also heard that you have to provide documentation when applying to a community college for instate tuition costs after being a resident for a year when you previously lived in another state almost your whole life. If so, which documentation would I need to prove that I have been a resident of Ohio for a year? I am new to all of this, sorry if this question is so long or obvious. Any other insight on paying instate tuition when you moved from another state would be very much welcomed and helpful. Thank you for your input.
