How challenging are duel enrollment courses? Are they worth it?

My senior year, I am taking -

AP US Gov/Politics
AP Eng. Literature
AP Calculus BC
Anatomy/Phys Honors
Latin IV Honors
Sociology @ CC
Psychology @ CC
Teacher Aid (blow off class)
Study Hall

How difficult are CC classes? I'm taking two, and they factor into my GPA with "AP weight" - is it worth it? Each meets once a week, from 6:00pm - 8:45pm. It'll have a huge impact on my GPA (positive) but I'm worried it'll be overwhelming.

Have you had any experience with duel enrollment/CC courses?

EDIT** - Also, those two courses are for first semester. If everything goes well, I'm going to take two more second semester.

Bump… Please help?

I took psych at a local college last semester. It met twice a week and we had a decent amount of homework in the form of readings for each class. As for the difficulty I found it fairly easy, but I love psych and didn’t mind spending extra time reading just to understand the material. Just so you know the grading can be a bit brutal though. 70 percent of my grade came from three tests and five quizzes, the rest came from some essays. I would take it if I were you, but only if you truly are interest in the topic. I can’t speak to sociology, sorry.

@ArtsyGirl13 …Ohhh that’s really “demoralizing” and “upsetting” - I wish you hadn’t “told” me that. :(

What’s with the scare quotes? I can’t tell what feeling you’re trying to convey there.

Three tests, five quizzes, and some essays is actually a pretty good number of graded assignments for college.
