<p>Well, the post two before his had referred to prep; I assume he was replying to that. Also, it's useful as a demonstration of the difference between the PSAT and the SAT, which was the purpose of the thread.</p>
<p>I got the exact same score on my PSAT, and two SATs (222, 2220, 2220) ...a bit eerie.... but my SAT superscore is 2260.</p>
<p>Yet to get my junior PSat, but heres how my soph psat and junior sat compare</p>
<p>Sophomore PSat = 212
Junior SAT = 2280</p>
<p>Hopefully when psat results come this week they'll be close to 230.</p>

<p>I had no idea what I was doing on the PSAT. I prepped a lot too.</p>
<p>People may perform better on the SAT than on the PSAT because:
1) their brains mature over the interim year
2) they prep during the interim year, perhaps due to the shock of seeing a bad PSAT score :p
3) the SAT has a better curve.</p>
<p>powerbomb, it was my D and I think it was mostly pulling up her writing score. Somehow during her junior year between Oct and March, they taught her how to write better? She didn't prep much, just took a 4 class refresher course but I think they mostly did math and vocab stuff.</p>
<p>Or, like CC lurker says, better curve makes it easier to do better on the SAT.</p>
