<p>well, in new york we have a rule: don't put it outside if you don't want it stolen. i think the same goes for college campuses - take a survey of the bikes chained up at your local university and you'll see they're mostly your generic mountain bikes. </p>
<p>you <em>could</em> put it in your dorm at the sacrifice of space. my revelle room had concrete walls so we couldn't drill anything for mounted bike racks, but there are some stand-alone types if you're that into it. but, uh, better consult the roommates and double-check your living space before bringing anything huge. if you get an apartment, it shouldn't be a problem.</p>
