How come people outside of my town is attracted to me?

Whenever I go do some program outside of my town, girls are always way more attracted to me than in my home town. In my home town I feel like I'm just an average looking guy that most girls aren't attracted to. But I did a program at UNC this summer, and a bunch of different girls liked me. Some I never even talked to, and they were cute. I don't wanna sound cocky, I just don't get why at my home town I'm nothing to girls, but when I leave girls like me more.

Girls like guys who are different. At places like UNC, your poor grammar sets you apart. In your hometown, apparently it doesn’t.

^“Chicks dig guys with skills.”

It might be because the only way their parents would justify spending money on the program was if they brought home a fit man of breeding age.

Alternately, the girls who were part of the program found they had more in common with someone who was in the same program.

if you by chance live somewhere where a lot of the guys are hot and tall and athletic then that could be the reason. Also there could have been a lot of ugly guys in this program so you would look hot in comparison. It could be that the girls in your hometown are gorgeous and you are just average and they aren’t willing to settle or the girls in the program were average and willing to settle for an average guy.

thanks for the help. Do you think it could be because ive known people in my hometown my whole life and they see me in a certain way? and the girls in the program were as cute as in my hometown.

You’re so cool! You can attract girls? Wow!

But after briefly considering the possibility of you as a non-■■■■■, maybe you just feel more confident outside the stifling circle of people who are set in their image of you as a nonattractive…person. Plus girls are naturally more flirtatious around guys they’re likely to never see again. If you embarrass yourself, no big deal, etc.
