I've just discovered the history MA program at William and Mary. I'm an out-of-state student, and I know some of these top public schools can be very selective about OOS students. Is it the same- or even worse- for the graduate programs?

Unfortunately we work only with undergraduate admission policies and procedures. We’ve forwarded your question on to our colleagues in arts and sciences and will respond when we hear from them

Thank you so much! :D

Here’s an answer we received from from one of the faculty who works with graduate admission.

Graduate Programs are not under the same restrictions as undergraduate programs in terms of in-state v. out-of-state students. Thus, we look at each applicant holistically and individually and do not take into account whether or not they are in or out of state we apply to same standards to each of them.

Great! Thanks so much!!
