How competitive is winning a Coronat Scholarship?

<p>Today I received an email from SU inviting me to apply for a Coronat Scholarship. However, its a lot of work, and I do not want to spend time on something that i will most likely not win.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how competitive a Coronat Scholarship is? How many apply each year ( i know only ten are chosen).</p>

<p>yes! i got it too. I'm trying to write the essays now, but I'm having trouble with the book essay. So you think they want any type of summary at all, or just why it is meanigful to us</p>

<p>D has not heard yet. I believe the letter said between 2/20 and 3/1.</p>

<p>Yeah, I know. I just wanted to double check, it seems like they aren’t letting us know if we don’t get it. So, I figured I would just check and see if anyone had heard back.</p>

<p>I’m super curious, though. It’s a tough wait.</p>

<p>I applied for this and was called yesterday with the invitation to come to the school March 16th-19th for the interview/discussion process. They are paying in full for the transportation and room and everything. So it seems like a nice opportunity, even if I do have to miss 4 days of school for it.</p>

<p>I got the email as well. I was pretty dissapointed, but after hearing that people had already been called, I suppose I expected it.</p>
