How cool is it that I got a 2000 on the SAT?

I mean the score is relatively high but I just feel like I transcended into nirvana from reaching this exact number.

I mean its just so awesome!

By the way i'm not trying to gloat or show off, I'm just in shock at how I landed on that exact value.

Anyway, continue on with your serious business CC'ers. Was just trying to be funny...

haha i know exactly how you feel, crossing 2,000, feels soo sooo sooo good. Oh my god, when I read my 2090, i felt i was on ecstasy, seriously. :)

Anyway, props you bro.

Yeah my 2250 felt real nice. 740,750,760. almsot got a perfect split

Oh congrats! That is pretty cool(: I got a 2010 and thought, “If only I would’ve taken it last year…”

Yep, we feel the same way about S getting 2000 (M 690, CR 690, W 620)

I was really excited as well, and then I thought awesome, im done with SATs!! … yet here I find myself trying the ACT

I feel quite the opposite; I went into the test last year aiming for breaking 2000, and of course I end up with a 1990. If I just hadn’t forgotten to square a -1 on that math problem…

Not to be an *******, thewonderer2, but a 2000 is slightly above average, and quite mediocre. I’m not even saying this conceitedly, because I have the same current score. Simply check the forum out, people are scoring 2200-2400 consistently. It’s nothing to brag about.

A 2000 is 500 points higher than average.

SirWanksalot, don’t use this forum as representative of the world. This is a VERY small sample size. If you have nothing positive to say, don’t say anything.

I got a 2000 in may  highest sitting. But in October my score went to 1970 but my math went up by 80 points, so my superscore is 2080.

We 2000 people are special :)

^hahaha. 1500 is the national average.

Edit - this was in reference to sirwanksalot’s post

A score of 2000 has a 93 percentile rank. First standard deviation is 100 for each section, so any combined score over 1800 is significantly better than average. However, 2000 is simply awesome. lol.

Yeah!!! CC people tend to deride perfectly good class of scorers. 2000 is not mediocre at all. Keep up your good work till the application and essays and you will get into a very good school my friend.

Congratulations on your hard work and good luck.

I didn’t mean to put you down, wonderer. What I mean is, don’t settle for 2000. Take it again, and aim even higher. Nonetheless, betting on the authenticity of perazziman’s info, it’s a very prestigious score.

Perazziman, is that percentage for 2011, or a couple of years back?

I got 2030 this time for first time taking, yet I feel hugely unsatisfactory since I’m already senior and this score alone is not at all enough to enter a decent college, especially for international student like myself with no other obvious predominance in ECAs or academics. I got 800 in Maths, but for lower 600s in CR and W, which is indeed not favorable because the SAT and USA Maths syllabus is ridiculously easy since beginning and high score in Maths should be taken for granted. When I did College Board Practice Test, I obtained mid-2100 even without full marks in Maths and assuming essay of 8/12. I got only 620 in Writing even with a 10/12 essay.
Sorry to sound like complaining, but I was just hugely disappointed and have nowhere to vent my grudge.
