How could I receive money to pay college tuition and other costs ?

Hello, I am living in United States for more than six years and it is very difficult for me to pay f my tuition cost without financial aid. I had tried applying for Financial Aid but my immigration status will not qualify for tuition aid. Currently, I am under work visa I-688A that won't permit any benefits for student aid. Thus so far, I am paying all my costs from my own expense, but it is very unfair for students who don't had the proper paper work, does not qualify for any assistance to advance in their life.

I am 22 years old and have an associates in Accounting. I am planning to do another fours years in computer science. My current grade point average is 3.33 but I am working hard and managing a full time job. So what will qualify me for federal aid if I had the permit to work and pay tax ?

What are some colleges in New Jersey that allows aid to international students ?

I believe Princeton offers financial aid to international students.

Why is it unfair? Your visa does not entitle you to FA. You knew that when you got the visa.

You are under the same rules as everyone else in your position. That is fair. You are not entitled to FA.

Has your 1-688a visa expired? I see that it is only good for six months.
Were you granted temporary resident status?
