How dare they challenge the French

The folks in Ivory Coast seem to have a little problem with the French.

http://www9.sbs.com.au/theworldnews/region.php?id=98587&region=5

But how could this be? The French are so vastly superior to everyone else in the World that you would think a bunch of Third Worlders would be grateful to have such sophisticated and enlightened people in their presence. And with Frances' reputation as a Superpower and never retreating fighters, how could this all be happening? There is bound to be some way to blame this on America.

MON DIEU!!

SACRE BLEU!!!

Ooo oooo me 2!
Pourquoi moi, Dieu, pourquoi moi?

Yes, France is the only country in the world with present or past imperialistic aspirations, and, because the government and media repeat it so much, we must hate them. Seriously, how could we not? I mean, the U.S. brings freedom to everyone! How could those stupid Iraqis have anything against liberty? Oh...crap...I forgot that the French are surrender monkeys. I'm sorry...I'll shut up now and buy some freedom fries.

last time I checked, there was this little thingy called "We're just having fun" that most people knew about...

lol, i think thats why "i'll shut up now and go buy some Freedom Fries" was added at the end.

nahhhh, I think it was a bit of overreacting by nomir_dva.

Plus some mocking of the french-haters for some extra spice.

putain fe chier, les francais vont n*quer les poulets des cotes

I believe it's cheese-eating surrender monkeys.

Credit goes to writers of "The Simpsons".

cheese-eating, that makes no sense it sounds more like people from Wisconsin than french people.

C'est triste... tres triste.

Long live the French.

French Canada all the way!

French over the UK and Spain today!

Une francaise.

I was voted "most serious" by my fellow students. It's my duty to overreact. :) But I don't think that I'm the only one who finds the concept of "freedom fries" particularly disturbing.

Sounds like another Coup d'etat. Poor, poor, ignorant French people.

oh, shut up about the freedom fries already.

they renamed them. in some establishments. all over the country. get over it.

so instead ill go play my oboe and its cousin, the Engli-- I mean the Ally Horn and wear nothing but red, white and blue ever again... oh, o me, those are the French colors too! and the English! and the Australian! Ive lost my sense of national identity!
haha. i hate people who act like that ". .^. ." and take themselves seriously

um, thinkingoutloud... are you kidding? im surprised no one addressed the absolute discrimination in your post... a bunch of third worlders? i wonder what they would have against the french... perhaps a few hundred years of forced colonization??? americans despised the english after colonization and that was just after a half century or so. i know you probably didnt mean it to sound as ignorant as it did, but be a little open minded. for someone so intellectual and appreciative of the frnch way of life, you acted decidedly 'american'.
d'accord, c'est fini. tu ne sais pas ce que tu es parlant de, c'est pas grave.
