wut was ure sat score?

i didn't take the SAT yet, I'm taking it in March, but I'm figuring about a 2100 or maybe a little lower

''im really depressed about my scores''

hahaha

i think i have to defend myself - i studied really hard for the ACT and i also studied most of the subjects on the science portion of the ACT - and yet i got a 31 in science (i also want to major in chemistry) ... so that's why im disappointed

Darn, now you can only study chemistry in a community college.

i also studied most of the subjects on the science portion of the ACT

To be blunt, that was probably a waste of time, because the ACT doesn't test science knowledge in general.

Anyway, a 33 is an outstanding score. Be proud, cheer up, and forget about the ACT--you don't need to take it again unless you're applying to Harvard, and even then you probably could still get in with a 33.

so, i only got my multiple choice scores when i paid. is there any way to see my writing score before i get my paper score without paying any more money?

I was also having trouble with the science section until I realized that it basically tested your ability to read and interpret charts/graphs. I scored a 24 on the science reasoning on December 10th?, 2006, but a 34 just two months later, on the Feb. 10th test date. I finished with 4-5 minutes to spare and had time to go back and check some of the questions I was unsure on. But, I would say that I felt very confident going into the science test because I knew that all the information I needed was right there and that outside knowledge wouldn't matter-nevertheless it helped me fly through the DNA (cytosine, guanine) passage. That being said, I think the best advice would be to practice interpreting graphs and realize that the science test is nothing more than just that- reading charts/graphs. Best of Luck!

I actually got my mailed score report two weeks after my test date. What's up with that?

32E
30M
34R
27S

31C
I hate the science test. But it was my first time taking it, and I'm a lowly freshman, so I am feeling on top of the world right now.

thanks nillkn for the observation - what i meant was that I had studied all of the topics on the science portion in my SCIENCE CLASSES. we had just finished circuits in physics and genetics in biology for example.
in any case, i will be taking again in april. anyone else?

eh. i can't decide if i want to take mine again. my parents want me to get a 36 but to tell you the truth, i'm PERFECTLY FINE with a 35, damn it. but then again its sooooooooo close to the holy grail of standardized testing...

it's really killing me about whether or not i should retake. it seems like colleges don't really place much credence in the difference between 34-36. but i'm sitting here with a 33-borderline 34 wondering if it might hurt me not to retake. if i don't go for the 34 and i get rejected at places i'll constantly wonder if i was just 1 point too low. am i totally off base here? that's just the impression that i get.

If money's not a problem, iowejf, retake it.

You can choose which scores you want to send.

haha at least you have a legitimate reason to retake if you do. i, on the other hand, would be retaking it just to do it.

Is it just me whose scores are not available yet?

My bad. I misunderstood you.

English 31
Math 34
Reading 35
Science 34

Composite 34

My score raised in science and math, stayed the same in reading and lowered in English.
I'm going to keep taking it, going for a 35, or maybe that elusive 36(unlikely)

awhislyle, your composite is 1/4 of a point higher than mine, and you got my precious 34. i hate being so close.

how do u guys attack sci passages? im really unstable--sometimes for the practice tests i'll finish which like 5 min left to go back and check over, but sometimes, i have to guess like on every question for the last passage... which is what happened on this ACT. :(

so like how do u guys pace yourselves?

dammit, they STILL don't have my scores! maybe there's an error somewhere? I hope not! dammit this is frustrating though
