FreshElephant - go back and check again. My D thought hers were still not up because she saw a message in red color and assumed that message said her scores were still not available (which was also a red message about the same paragraph length). The newer red message explained that only her multiple choice sections, but not the writing, were available. Good luck.

lemon pop- i just go at it and work as fast as i can while still giving a decent amount of thought to each question. you really can't do much more unless you read like michael johnson runs. really, if you think about it, they have to make the science test so time constrained because otherwise anyone with half a brain would get a 36.

as far as pacing for the science, i always come back to the fighting scientists section last. that is the one passage that will require extensive and in depth reading, so saving it for last allows me the most time, provided that you rush through the other sections. also, for me it's the hardest, because it's the only section where the answer is not explicitly stated in the graphs or intro material. and i'm not really a super fast reader (my lowest score was reading, while my highest was science) so that goes to show that very little reading is required, as long as you realize that probably 90% of the time it requires NO outside knowledge. it's there for you. just find it.

do u guys always read the intro paragraph in the beginning of the sci section or no?

i never read intro paragraphs.

nope. not unless i definitely know that it's not in the graph, then i skim the intro paragraph to find the info i need. it's just a waste of time otherwise.

I just checked the webpage again...... and guess what...
my scores are not available yet! soooooooooo frustrated...

I just got my writing score: 11. I'm extremely relieved. I thought I did fairly badly, and this was my first time taking it so I really didn't know what to expect.

nilkn: how'd you get your writing score? did you have to pay 8 bucks again?

It came in the mail. O_O I don't know why so soon.

wow, w.t.f? scores in the mail already?

Yeah, people around here (Lebanon, Missouri) started getting scores in the mail really early. My scores came late compared to other people here, probably because I did the writing test. O_O

lami, have you called ACT to check the status of your scores?

scores in the mail? yesssssss

I'm with ya lami.

Nope, not just you.
And can someone please post the curve for the ACT?

report a 30 if a college says the range is 29-31?

I got 30 composite...is that decent considering I'm looking more at USC, Umich type schools (I definately know its not good for HYPS, Duke, upper-ivies)

Yes... I called ACT and they just told me to wait...
They update the webpage on every wednesday and friday...
I really want to see my scores! =_=....

Well today's friday

hopefully today's the day lami! thanks for the info.
